Annapurna Circuit Trek / 13 Days
The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most iconic and diverse trekking routes, circling the majestic Annapurna Massif in the Annapurna region of north-central Nepal. This classic Himalayan journey offers a powerful combination of natural beauty, cultural encounters, and high-altitude adventure, making it one of the most rewarding treks in the world. This 13-day Annapurna Circuit Trek is designed to provide an amazing, safe, and well-organized trekking experience, guided by experienced local crews who know the mountains, culture, and trails intimately.
Scenic Drive to the Trek Start
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu at 1,400 meters to Dharapani at 1,960 meters via Besisahar. The drive takes about 10/12 hours by bus or jeep, depending on road and weather conditions. Along the way, you pass through terraced hillsides, river valleys, waterfalls, and traditional villages. Safety is always a priority, and all transportation is arranged with experienced drivers and well-maintained vehicles to ensure a comfortable and secure journey to the trekking region.
A Classic Himalayan Circuit
The Annapurna Circuit Trek covers approximately 160/230 kilometers, depending on the chosen route. Trekkers usually walk 5/7 hours per day, gradually ascending from lush forests and rice terraces to alpine meadows and the high-altitude desert landscapes of Manang and Mustang. One of the biggest highlights is crossing Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, one of the highest trekking passes in the world. From the top, trekkers enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, creating a true sense of achievement.
Cultural and Spiritual Highlights
After crossing Thorong La, the trail descends to Muktinath at 3,760 meters, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The temple complex, with its eternal flame and 108 water spouts, represents spiritual cleansing and liberation. The route then enters the Mustang region, once part of an ancient Tibetan kingdom. This area features dramatic desert landscapes, traditional Buddhist monasteries, and villages with strong Tibetan cultural influences. Before crossing the pass, you spend time in Manang, a beautiful high-altitude valley where you acclimatize. The Manangi people are known for their yak herding traditions and centuries-old trading culture.
Spectacular Himalayan Views
Throughout the trek, you enjoy breathtaking views of some of the world’s highest mountains, including:
➡️Annapurna I (8,091m)
➡️Dhaulagiri (8,167m)
➡️Manaslu (8,163m)
